Deck Building
Build decks that feel good to draw
You don’t need a 200-line tier spreadsheet to win. Most strong decks follow a few repeatable rules: clarity of plan, low dead draws, and the right answers for the next boss.
Rule 1: Say “no” more often
Skipping a reward is a valid choice. If a card doesn’t improve your next few fights, it’s usually not worth making your draws worse.
Rule 2: Choose a win condition
Pick one main way you plan to end fights: fast pressure, scaling damage, control into inevitability, or a reliable combo. Then support it.
Rule 3: Patch your weak spot
After each boss, ask: did I die to damage, to running out of steam, or to bad draws? Add exactly one kind of fix, not five random cards.
A small checklist for every reward screen
- Does it help my plan?If you can’t explain the role in one sentence, skip it.
- Does it improve consistency?Draw, filtering, and removals are often “silent wins.”
- Does it solve a coming threat?Pick answers for what’s next, not what’s hypothetical.
- What am I cutting later? If you add a niche card, plan a removal to keep the deck tight.
Tier lists (optional)
If you like visual tier lists, you can build one for your own card pool and preferences. Don’t treat it as a rulebook—treat it as a memory aid for “cards that fit my plan.”
